It has been quite a few days since we set out to create new habits after the New Year . As a general rule, we all set ourselves many goals that, after two weeks, we end up abandoning. This happens because we are not able to make these behaviors new habits.

1- Write down the purpose you want to achieve and the benefits of acquiring this new habit

When you write something down, it immediately takes priority in your brain . In addition, if you see it constantly and read the reason why you should acquire this habit, it will cost you less effort to get it.

2- Identify the behaviors that do not help you cultivate this new habit

There are certain behaviors that prevent us from getting a habit . For example, if we want to wake up early, we can not go to bed at the same time. We will have to go to bed early to have enough energy to get up earlier.

3- Anticipate the problems that may arise

When it comes to acquiring new habits, it is normal that you encounter obstacles along the way. If your mission is to comply with your diet and you know you will have a family meal the following week, intensify your exercise routine and become aware that you will not be able to spend as much as other times.

4- Strive to do it for 21 days in a row

According to much research, you only need 21 days for a behavior to become a habit . If you manage to do that task for 21 days in a row, it will stop costing you so much and it will become a routine.

Keeping track of the new habits that you are acquiring will motivate you to move forward and help you to identify in which situations it costs you the most to behave in that way.

Following these steps you will find it much easier to achieve all your goals, you just have to put them into practice as soon as possible.
