A man was hitting his two-year-old son in the tail of the ferry. A woman, who witnessed it, wanted to inform a nearby police officer; but the man tried to beat her so he would not do it .
"I was waiting in the line for the ferry in Washington. If you have never been, it is a huge parking lot where everyone waits in their car before getting on the ferry.
The man who was in the car next to mine obviously did not know I was looking at him , when he turned to slap his 2-year-old son while his eldest daughter, 6 or 7 years old, was watching him. He hit him 7 or 8 times totally enraged. Then he realized that he was seeing him and tried to pretend that nothing had happened .
I got out of my truck and headed towards a policeman with a dog that was nearby. While I was on the way, he tried to stop me and ask me what I was doing. I tried to follow my path without confrontation, he pushed me but I managed to sneak away, so he tripped me up. I got up to try to get to the officer, but the guy punched me in the back of the head and spit in my face. Luckily, the policeman saw everything, approached and handcuffed him . All these while his little children saw him from the car.
It was worth taking my punch and spit, because the children went into protective custody and the man was reported. In addition, there was another witness who had seen him hit the child and the security cameras recorded him beating me, so I did not even have to go to court.
I'm not a heroine and I'm hurt. But if I see someone capable of hitting a child, I will not stop until he gets his due . "
