On this fateful day, a wild horse named Champ and his family were grazing along the banks of the Salt River, in the Tonto National Forest. Minutes later, a second band of wild horses appears on the other side of the river.
It was not long before Champ and his family became interested in their new neighbors on the other side of the road. Intrigued, some began to cross the river.
Suddenly, there was a flood of the river and the force of the current dragged the filly of the group downstream. For a moment he even ended up underwater.
Champ tried to grab the little foal by the neck, but he could not. The mare separated from the group, fighting for her life against the force of water.
However, Champ does not give up and left the group to go after her and try to save her. Again, he tried to grab her firmly by the neck and this time he managed to hold her. Little by little he tried to pull her to join her again to the horse band.
He did not leave her at any time until he was sure she was safe.
Dazed, the little mare went to her mother . With everything under control, Champ proceeds to cross the river and greets the horses that were all over the shore as if they were old friends of a lifetime.
Upon his return, Champ greets his family. In the video you can see how they say "As in a scripted end of a fairy tale, three birds perch on Champ and his mare."
