In difficult times, a kind word, a hug and a prayer are highly appreciated samples of support for those who face adversity at some point in their lives.
A particular song written in 1993 by the legendary country music band, Alabama, ended up causing hundreds of people around the world to send letters to band members thanking them for recording this song, stating that it was a blessing to all of them during his personal difficulties.
In fact, the song was performed by the band member, Randy Owen, at the funeral of the famous racing driver and his good friend, Dale Earnhardt. This beloved song titled " Angels Among Us " was released on the Alabama Cheap Seats album as a Christmas single .
The award-winning song presents moving lyrics such as "Oh, I think there are angels among us, sent to us from somewhere above." The song highlights the problematic moments that weigh on someone, and that there has always been someone who "came and consoled me."
"A kind word from a stranger, to lend a hand, a phone call from a friend just to say 'I understand' ".
Radio Disney and Radio Disney Country partnered with St Children's Research Hospital Jude to re-record this moving Christmas classic. Artists such as Carly Pearce, Hunter Hayes, Brennley Brown, CB30, Jillian Jacqueline, Lucy Hale, RaeLynn, Sara Evans, Scotty McCreery, Tegan Marie and Temecula Road.
The objective of this collaboration was to raise awareness of the mission of the St. Jude Children's Research Hospital and help generate funds. The main hospital for children focuses on researching and treating childhood cancer and other life-threatening diseases.
