Women's Day this year aimed to empower women, and more companies than ever have gathered to celebrate this day. Creative Equals an organization that aims to support talented women and promote diversity in the creative industries, has decided to replace the iconic brand logos with female figures to highlight the Problems of inequality in the media.
Their logos include companies such as Pringles, Monopoly, DreamWorks, Schwarzkopf and Bic. Creative Equals expects this to highlight the problems of gender inequality because, according to the organization's founder and CEO, Ali Hanan, 89.5 percent of the design directors are men and can affect the identity of a brand. In an interview with Dezeen, Ali Hanan stated that they are not attacking any of these brands personally, but they wanted to show a variety of examples for people to celebrate International Women's Day and think more about the need for women. This is not the only creative idea for this year's International Women's Day, we were already surprised by Barbie's collection of 17 new dolls that portray inspiring women from all over the world.
