Although it is still a taboo subject, it is very important that women have all the necessary information about their private parts in order to recognize if something goes wrong. We always pay close attention to the area when something goes wrong, but we overlook something we do as often as washing.
We do it automatically . We showered, we washed our hair, body and our private parts. They are not an exception, but it is very likely that we are doing wrong.
6 Things that women should know before washing their private parts
1- Clean the area around the vagina
The vagina is cleaned naturally with the flow so it is not necessary to clean its interior; you just have to wash the surrounding areas, that is, the vulva.
2- Be careful
] Try not to use sponges or exfoliants or anything that could damage the vagina. The skin of this area is especially soft and sensitive so we should be careful. To wash it, use a towel or hand.
3- Listen to your body
You know your body better than anyone so listen to it and if you think something is wrong, go to the doctor immediately.
4- Dry the area
Vaginal pH and bacteria could be altered if you leave your vagina on a wet area. This is the reason why many people get fungal infections . So choose to dry it gently so as not to irritate the skin or let it dry outdoors.
5- Use a very soft and fragrant soap
This area is much more sensitive than other parts of the skin so we must be careful. This type of skin could have a negative reaction to soaps that we use on the rest of the body without problem. In addition, we should gently wash the area around the vagina once a day if we want to have balanced pH and bacteria levels.
6- Never do douching
Although they were fashionable for some years, has no proven benefits. This method injects water into the vagina, to cleanse the secretions. However, this could alter normal vaginal bacteria.
Remember all these tips since the vagina itself has bacteria that keep it healthy. If we wash ourselves wrongly, we could produce an imbalance ending in infection.
