Summer vacations are the most desired by all students. It is time to rest, go to the beach or sleep, but most children also receive many duties for these three months.
However, Cesare Catá, a teacher of the secondary school of the central region of Le Marche, has wanted its students to invest their time in less academic activities like dancing or watching the sunrise and has given them a list with 15 activities of that category.
15 Tips a teacher for his students who are revolutionizing education
1- Sometimes, in the morning, he walks completely alone by the seashore : he observes how the sunlight reflects in the water and thinks in the things you love most in your life. Be happy.
2- Try to use all the new terms that you have learned this year : The more things you can say, the more things you can think; and the more you think, the freer you will be.
3- Read as much as you can. But not because you have to. Read because summers inspire adventures and dreams and when you read you feel like a swallow in mid-flight. Read because it is the best form of rebellion you have (for some recommendation on what to read, ask me).
4- Avoid the things, situations and people that make you feel negative or empty: look for stimulating situations and the company of friends who enrich you understand you and appreciate you for who you are.
5- If you feel sad or scared, do not worry: summer, like anything wonderful in life, can lead you to confusion . Try to write a diary to capture how you feel (in September, if you want, we read it together).
6- Dance, without any shame. On a dance floor near your house or alone in your room. Summer is a dance, and it is foolish not to participate .
7- At least once, walks to see the sunrise . Stay silent and breathe. Close your eyes, be grateful.
8- Practice a lot sports .
9- If you know someone you like, tell them in the most respectful and sincere way possible. It does not matter if you do not understand . If it does not, it was not in your destiny that it happened; otherwise, that summer will be unforgettable for both.
10- Check your class notes: compare the things we have read and learned with the things that are happening to you.
11- Be so happy as sunlight and as indomitable as the sea .
12- Do not say bad words and be always polite and kind.
13- See good movies with deep dialogues (in English if you can), to improve your language skills and your ability to dream. Do not let the film end with the final credits: relive the scenes while you enjoy your summer.
14- Take advantage of the bright sunlight or the hot summer nights, to imagine how your life could and should be . In the summer, always look for the strength to not give up and do everything you can to get your dream.
15- Be good.
This has been written on a list that, in addition to giving it to each child, has also been published on his Facebook and has gone viral. More than 3,000 people have shared this publication and there are many positive comments about it.
